Nonslip Tile Treatment Product & Application Information

Description:

“Non-slip treatment” is an odourless clear chemical, reacting within the pores of all Tiled floor surfaces, including Marble and Concrete floors and bathtubs, eliminating slipping problems when wet.

How Does It Work?

“Non-slip treatment” creates pores in the sealed and glazed floor surfaces, treating them to just below the surface, thereby creating a microscopic suction cap at each pore. Under wet conditions a suction effect is created on the surface of the floor. Wet floors no longer pose a problem because the vacuum capacity of the floor is actually enhanced when exposed to water reducing the foot from slipping.

How Long Will It Last?

Non-slip tile and concrete treatment is not a coating, it cannot be peeled off. It will remain effective for many years until the floor surface itself has worn down.

Will It Change The Appearance?

“Non-slip treatment” will not detract from the floor’s natural appearance. Some fully glazed surfaces may have a marginal loss of high glaze shine, this being equal to the inevitable loss during normal wear and tear of the surface. Lightening of the floor surface may occur, and oxidation of dirt particles may be visible following the application, however this appearance will disappear after normal cleaning.

How Do You Maintain The Floor After Application?

Surfaces must remain free from grease and ingrained dirt to remain effective. It is therefore important that the floor is kept clean or hosed down regularly. It is recommended that the surface be cleaned with a long handled scrubbing brush using a good quality cleaner.

Advanced Concepts offer 3 monthly inspections and maintenance cleaning at a minimal cost.

Application:

“Non-Slip treatment” is applied continuously to the treated area until the floor becomes Non-Slip. The residual chemical is then washed off with water. “Non-slip treatment” can be applied to new or existing floors both indoors and outdoors. There are no noisy, dusty or smelly application procedures. The floor can be used immediately following the completion of the Non-Slip application.

not to mention the reduction of Workers Compensation and Public Liability Insurance Premiums.

Coatings:Non-slip coatings are not recommended for tiled floors as tiles are non-porous and a coating would not successively adhere to this surface.

Rubberised Floor & Stair Surfacing

Recycled rubber floor surfacing can be supplied in pre-formed matting, tiled squares, stair treads or a wet pour application is available to suit all types of flooring.

Ready to install or wet pour recycled rubber flooring comes in standard or multi coloured colours and is also available in club colours, it is designed to adhere to any pre-existing floor surface. The pre formed stair treads can be designed to fit all stairs and landings and are easy to install for the ‘do it yourself’ handyman.

There is no down time for installation of the pre-formed tiles and stair treads. This product reduces noise, is less harsh underfoot to walk on than bare concrete or similar surfaces. Rubber surfaces also add a high degree of safety for pedestrian walkways, it is extremely durable, tough and suitable for all types of industries.

Suitable for indoor and outdoor, UV and alcohol resistant, reduces fatigue and noise.

Vandalism

Recycled rubber cannot be ignited by such things as a lighter or cigarette unless an accelerator is used.
Most spray paints are acrylic, light scrubbing will remove most of the paint, residue will wear away in time.

If your surface has been damaged please contact Advanced Concepts for advice. Prompt attention will ensure that any further deterioration is avoided and danger to anyone utilising this surface is minimal.

Warranty

Advanced Concepts warrants the Recycled Rubber Surfacing to be free from any defects in materials and/or workmanship (excluding fair wear and tear) for a period of three (3) years from the date of installation.

Durobond Product information

Durobond Slip-Resistant Ultra-seal Acrylic Based Clear or Coloured Sealer (with catalyst).

A water based slip-resistant polyurethane acrylic sealer available in Gloss (347) or Satin (349).
